ABCDE’s |

The Self-Skin Examination is as easy as ABCDE's. Follow along and learn how to detect what may be an early melanoma.
Asymmetry - one half of the mole does not match the other half
Border - edges of the mole are ragged or notched
Color - multiple colors may be present (brown, black, pink,
red and/or blue)
Diameter - increasing over time, use a ruler to measure recent changes
Enlargement and Other changes - any change in mole, such as bleeding, continued itching, crusting and/or draining
Use the above guide to aid in your examination of your own skin.
Please contact your physician if you notice ANY of the above changes!
